Welcome to Quicksilver Ranch

Quicksilver Ranch is located in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley, just 30 miles north of Santa Barbara, between Solvang and Ballard, California. It’s open to visitors every day from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Tours are available by appointment only, for 20 people or more at $3.00 per person. Quicksilver Ranch does not offer petting pens or rides in the cart, but you are able to get up close and personal with the miniature horse.

The Santa Ynez Valley has long been the horse breeder’s Kentucky of the west. Some of the finest thoroughbred horses (and miniatures, too!) come from this area.

Just around the bend from Quicksilver Ranch is the quaint village of Solvang, an early Danish Settlement, which has faithfully maintained the flavor of Denmark — right down to thatched roofs and windmills. The Valley is also famous for its world class wines and the birthplace of Andersen’s Split Pea Soup. This unspoiled valley of rolling hills and majestic oaks is one of the most beautiful places on Earth!

Miniature horses can easily be hitched to a cart or wagon and can pull up to ten times their weight. The ranch breeds for small, well-mannered show quality miniature horses that have good driving ability at affordable prices.…
